Spring Event: Mozart's "Requiem"
Join us Sunday, April 21 at 3pm as the Parish Choir and members of the community
with chamber orchestra perform the choral masterwork, "Requiem,"
by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
This event is free for all to attend or enjoy online at the Downtown Site of
First English Lutheran Church -- 326 E North Street in Appleton.
No registration or tickets are required.
Directed by Maestro Erich Knapp, Mozart’s Requiem has all the drama and the humanity
of his operas. Mozart’s wife, Constanze, claimed that during Mozart’s last painful days,
he said that he believed he was composing this for his own funeral.
His Requiem has stood the test of time as being one of
the great choral masterworks ever written.
If you enjoy the Fox River Chamber Fest each summer,
come and explore this spring's "Sacra Musica" performance.
