Spring Concert:
"We Praise Thee, O Lord "
Come, bring a friend, and enjoy
Henry Purcell's greatest choral achievement
Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m.
in the Downtown Site Sanctuary
of First English Lutheran Church at
326 E North Street in Appleton.
First performed in 1694, "We Praise Thee, O Lord" will be accompanied by the FELC Recorder Consort, giving the work an authentic historic orchestration.
This concert will also include Eric Whitacre's new publication of "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening," a setting of the poem by Robert Frost and the famous "Miserere" by Gregorio Allegri. In addition, the FELC Handbell Choir will premiere the work "Forward!," composed and directed by FELC Music Intern Lawrence Schreiner.
Free to attend, donations at this benefit event support the
children's programs of The Arthur Krempin School of Music & Art.
